As of today until 7 August puppets are taking centre stage on the outdoor stages of Burgas on the Black Sea, as the city once again hosts the International Open-air Puppet Festival “Puppet Days”.

The 8th edition of the festival opens with a show by the children’s drama formation “Smile”, followed by the premiere of “The inquisitive elephant” based on Rudyard Kipling’s “The elephant’s child” staged by the Puppet Theatre in Burgas. Over the days of the festival, theatres from Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Ruse and Blagoevgrad will present two plays each.

The foreign participants include the actors from the Greek Bufos puppet theatre with the show “Jovan”, and from the Estonian Project theatre with “Legend of the snow girl”.
