850 are the new infections with coronavirus in Bulgaria for the past 24 hours. This is 9.35% of the 9,086 tests performed, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal. Despite the significant decrease in the new cases with 1,342 people, which is also due to the reduced data from the non-working day on Wednesday, when Bulgaria's Independence Day was celebrated, the infection rate remains high. The highest number of new cases is registered in Sofia - 158, in Burgas - 99 and in Varna - 81.

There are currently 41,071 active cases in Bulgaria. A total of 4,959 patients are now hospitalized, as 405 are in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours, 27 people died with established Covid-19. 584 have recovered.
Only 1,858 vaccines were administered on Wednesday. Until now, 1,290,434 Bulgarian citizens have completed the full immunization.
