A scandal has marked the meeting between trade unions, employers and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Social Policies Galab Donev. The employers left the meeting after a dispute with the unions sparked. Businesses do not accept the unions’ calls for minimum wage hike by 17%.

"Without a medium-term budget forecast and other macro-parameters like economic growth, inflation and deficit taken into account, the right decisions cannot be made. The demands of the unions do not correspond to the economic reality and would lead to negative consequences, including for the members of the unions members", chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association Vassil Velev has told the BNR.
