Roasted pumpkin and sauerkraut season

One of the things Bulgarians love most in winter is sauerkraut. Being a gourmet nation, Bulgarians prefer to make it themselves, and November is the best month to make sauerkraut. That is why food markets are now overflowing with cabbage.

Roasted pumpkin is another symbol of autumn. The sweet smell of baking pumpkin is close to every Bulgarian heart, and in Sofia it is available all over the city.
