Almost one-third of Bulgarians do not shop at cash-only stores, indicates a survey conducted by a Norwegian mobile payment platform, BNR’s Natalia Ganchovska reports.

More than 75% of Bulgarians prefer to pay by card because they believe that cashless payment is quicker and more convenient, while looking for an ATM is a waste of time. Half of the respondents point to the advantages of paying by phone, and 16% believe that this method of payment prevents fraudulent use of the card.

35% of the respondents believe that all payments will be digital within 2-3 years.
