Number of Covid-related deaths remains high

There were 2,018 new coronavirus cases in Bulgaria in the past day. 7.37% of the 27,372 tests returned positive result, according to the portal coronavirus.bg.

There are 103,606 citizens registered with coronavirus. 81.8% of them are non-vaccinated. 514 patients were hospitalized yesterday as over 90% of them are also non-vaccinated. There are a total of 6,225 patients in hospitals as 702 are in intensive care. The number of recoveries reached 3,344.

A total of 114 people with Covid passed away yesterday. 93% of them were non-vaccinated. The death toll rose in comparison to a day earlier when the system reported 89 victims of the disease.

20,832 vaccines were administered on Thursday. There are 1,789,588 people with two vaccine doses in Bulgaria.
