The entire country is in the green zone for the incidence of coronavirus infection, according to the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. On a fortnightly basis, the incidence is 50 per 100,000 population.

Since the start of the pandemic, 37 109 Bulgarians have fallen victim to the virus.

According to the country's epidemic situation map and the five regions monitoring the occupancy of hospital beds for intensive treatment of patients, in all regions the occupancy is at its lowest stage – Stage Zero, meaning that the occupancy of beds in intensive care is below 50%.

In all tests done for Covid-19, the Omicron virus variant has been detected in its sub-variants VA.1 and VA.2, the Centre said.
