Bulgaria’s Premier Kiril Petkov has tried to persuade MP Kiril Simeonov from "There is such a people" (ITN) party to break away from the parliamentary group of ITN and support the government, Deputy Speaker of the country’s National Assembly Iva Miteva said.

"We had a short meeting with the prime minister. He did not offer me any posts or money and we just talked. He asked me to rethink my position so as not to throw the country into chaos", Iva Miteva told journalists. "We heard the prime minister talking about 12 MPs. Apparently he is looking for them at the moment," Iva Miteva commented. The chairman of the parliamentary group of ITN Toshko Yordanov claims that Kiril Petkov has spoken to at least four MPs from "There is such a people" party.
