Bulgaria reports sharp increase in new Covid infections

942 are the new cases of Covid-19 registered in Bulgaria for the last 24 hours. The increase is by 759 cases compared to a day earlier. Over 62% of the newly infected persons have not been vaccinated. 14% of the 6,702 tests performed came back positive, compared to 13.5% of the indicator on Monday, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal.

The registered actively sick people fell by a record 9,000 people to 51,549. 81 infected persons have been admitted to hospitals. 58 of them or 71.6% are not vaccinated. Hospitalizations increased by 30 to 396. There are 31 infected people in intensive care.

Three deaths with an established Covid-19 infections were registered during the day. 9,372 recoveries were reported.

On Monday, 1,242 vaccines were administered.
