Romanian bus crash driver charged

Four people were killed and eight injured on Saturday

The district prosecutor's office in Veliko Tarnovo has filed charges against the Turkish driver of the Romanian bus that crashed on Saturday on the main Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo road. Four people died and eight were injured in the accident

On Monday, the prosecutor's office will seek custody of the accused. The Turkish driver has been charged with manslaughter due to reckless driving and breaking traffic rules, the prosecutor's office said. The speed of the bus could not be determined at this stage with the speed limit in the area of the crash at 90 km per hour. 

The second driver, who is Romanian, has been released. The 14 Romanian nationals, who were left unharmed after the crash, have returned to their home country after being questioned.
