Employees of the Regional Health Inspections across Bulgaria went out today to protest for higher wages. Their request is supported by the largest trade union in Bulgaria, CITUB. The trade union insists on raising incomes at least by the amount of inflation, which on an annual basis for August is close to 18%.

The average salary of a health inspector is 900 BGN /460 EUR/, people are justifiably demotivated, said the trade union leader in the Blagoevgrad-based Regional Health Inspectorate Valentina Georgieva.

The employees of regional health inspectorates across the country have warned that if there is no response from the executive power, they will start a protest in front of the Ministry of Health.
