We need to reduce costs and stabilise the budget’s revenue side, because at some point we may face liquidity shortage, caretaker Minister of Finance Rositsa Velkova said an in interview for the BNR

The Finance Ministry has prepared three versions of the state budget, but the one that will be coordinated with the ministries, employers and trade unions envisages a deficit of 6.6%. "It is formed while maintaining all existing policies and regulations without changing the budgets’ revenue and expenditure sides", Minister Velkova explained. Rositsa Velkova said that Bulgaria’s budget will end 2022 with a 5.4% deficit on an accrual basis and a 3.4% deficit on a cash basis.
