The decision on Bulgaria’s accession to Schengen will be made on December 8 at the Justice and Home Affairs Council meeting and Bulgaria has all chances to become part of the Schengen area, caretaker Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov has told BNT.

All incidents at the border, including tragic ones, should be a signal to the European partners, including the Netherlands, that Bulgaria makes sacrifices for their security and that entering Schengen improves security, not the other way around," Zarkov said.
