President Radev to Dutch PM Rutte: Bulgaria's non-admission to Schengen is not in the EU's interest

Leaving Bulgaria out of the Schengen area is not in the interest of the European Union and does not contribute to the common efforts to address the security challenges and the severe economic crisis in Europe, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said during a telephone conversation with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

The Head of State reminded that the European Commission has repeatedly confirmed Bulgaria's readiness to join Schengen and our country expects support from all its EU partners.
