Bakhmut, Vuhledar and other areas in the Donetsk region are under constant Russian attacks: Volodymyr Zelensky

A Russian air raid against Kharkiv has destroyed a residential building, killing one and injuring at least three, the governor of Kharkhiv region Oleh Synyehubov says.

In his nightly address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated: “The situation is very tough. Bakhmut, Vuhledar and other areas in the Donetsk region are under constant Russian attacks. There are constant attempts to break through our defense.”

As Russian forces launched a massive artillery strike on Kherson, among the facilities hit is a local hospital where a nurse was injured, the Ukrainian authorities report. One day earlier, the Russian defence ministry claimed the Ukrainian forces had carried out a strike against a hospital in Novoaidar, killing 14 and injuring 24.

At the same time the Russian RIA news agency quotes Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying there is no point in Russia’s holding talks with Kyiv or with its “puppet masters” as he put it, after the US has decided to provide Ukraine with tanks.
