Bulgaria and Hungary share the belief that the solution to the conflict in Ukraine would not come with more weapons, but with more dialogue and diplomatic efforts to end hostilities, President Rumen Radev said after welcoming the President of Hungary, Katalin Novak, as part of her official visit to Bulgaria.

The presidents discussed the consequences of the war in Ukraine and called for a lasting peace. "The escalation of the conflict threatens the security of the whole of Europe, as this is turning into a war of attrition not only for the warring countries, but also for the European economies and social systems," Radev said.
