"Sport Republic" will not be buying "Levski" PFC

The deal to acquire the "Levski" football club has failed, Serbian businessman and owner of "Sport Republic" Dragan Solak reported. Negotiations began in the autumn of 2022. In December, Solak was already considered the future owner of the club and all that remained was to arrange the concession for the club's stadium.

"Unfortunately, some liabilities accumulated over the last decade turned out to be an insurmountable obstacle to the implementation of the transaction", the management of "Levski" announced.

The failed deal calls into question the future of the club, which owes 8.5 million euros to businessman Vasil Bozhkov, currently hiding in Dubai, and 10 million euros to the state for unpaid taxes.
