Bulgarian Krum Rodriguez with nomination from the American Society of Cinematographers

The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) has announced its nominations for 2024, and Bulgarian cinematographer Krum Rodriguez is among the nominees, the Hristo Botev program of BNR has reported. 

The nomination for the Spotlight Award is for the feature film "Citizen Saint". Krum Rodriguez's competition includes Eric Branco with the film "Story Ave." and Warwick Thornton for "The New Boy." Rodriguez was born in Sofia in 1977. His mother is Bulgarian and his father is Colombian. He studied photography at Academia Francesa de la Imagen in Bogotá (Colombia) and then graduated from cinematography at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia in the class of the great cinematographer Prof. Venets Dimitrov.

Winners in the various categories will be announced at the 38th ASC Awards Ceremony on March 3, 2024 in Beverly Hills, California.
