85% of witnesses of street harassment do not know how to intervene

A campaign against street violence named Stand Up will be held today and tomorrow under the dome of Sofia's Largo, said the Regional History Museum – Sofia.

It turns out that over 80% of women worldwide have experienced some form of street harassment, but 85% of witnesses didn't know how to react. For this reason, the event will present five simple and effective tools to help people intervene safely when they witness or become victims of such violence.

The program also includes a conference with presentations on the topic, the organizers informed.
