Cocaine worth USD 7 million was found on a ship at the Burgas port, the Ministry of Interior said. The vessel, with a capacity of 15,000 metric tons, arrived from Peru. Its 11-member crew has been detained. The ship was loaded with copper concentrate, intended for processing in a metal products manufacturing plant.

So far, 190 kg of white powdery substance have been found, which tested positive for cocaine in field drug tests. Instead of the previously known method of concealment in separate compartments in containers, a new method was used, said the Ministry of Interior. The cocaine was dispersed in various places along the pipeline system— an equipment located in the engine room.
