For the third consecutive year, the Christmas card of the presidential institution in Bulgaria has been drawn by a talented young artist from the town of Polski Trambesh (Central North Bulgaria). The diplomatic corps and all institutions in the country will receive the artwork of Martina Zhila.
"I chose the symbolism of the Bethlehem star and the three wise men, but in the image of Bulgarian carol singers visiting a Bulgarian village and the star of Bethlehem star shining brightly above them", Martina Zhila said for BNR.
The 28-year-old Martina Zhila is confined to a wheelchair due to a severe illness. Her talent was noticed by Vice President Iliana Iotova during a charity exhibition a few years ago.
On the occasion of the approaching Christmas holidays Martina Zhila wishes all Bulgarians kindness: "The Bulgarian people should remember that they have been good, stop complaining and give up malice and envy, because we are a nation with great Christian traditions, and we have always prospered when we have been with Christ!"
