The 72nd International Cycling Tour of Bulgaria will start on August 30 at 6:00 p.m. in the Black Sea resort town of Primorsko. The final is on September 4 in Sliven. The event, organized by the Bulgarian Cycling Federation once again brings together the best in road cycling from around the world. Over 120 professional cyclists from 20 countries and 3 continents will compete on a route with a total length of 687 kilometers, divided into five stages and a prologue.
The cycling tour route offers challenges from coastal sections and flat sections to mountain climbs and sprints. Participants will compete for stage victories and the prestigious yellow jersey, a symbol of leadership in the tour.
The race, which is among the oldest in the world, was established back in 1924.
