From 23 to 30 September, all EU member states will take part in the European Week of Sport. To mark the occasion, a two-day sports fair will be held at the Asics Arena in Sofia. Around 35 sports federations are expected to join the event, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Facebook. The games will run from 10:00 to 16:30 on both days, with free admission.

Visitors will have the chance to meet renowned Bulgarian athletes from a range of disciplines, including rhythmic gymnastics, chess, athletics, climbing and mountaineering. An outdoor go-kart track will also be available.

The European Week of Sport is an initiative of the European Union, co-funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ programme. This year marks its tenth anniversary, with the 2025 motto: “Move More, Scroll Less.” Bulgaria has been involved in the initiative since its launch in 2015.
