"We must stand on historical truth in order to build good neighborly relations with North Macedonia", said Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev at Sofia University during the presentation of a prototype edition of the "Macedonian Almanac''. The first edition of the almanac was published in 1940 in Indianapolis by the Macedonian Patriotic Organization in the United States and Canada.

In his speech, President Radev emphasized that the almanac is a valuable testimony to the eternal cause of the Macedonian Bulgarians in their efforts over the years to preserve their millennial Bulgarian identity and language. "In order to build good neighbourly relations and mutual trust with our brothers from North Macedonia, we must stand on something very important – historical truth. This almanac clearly shows the most important thing – the historical truth", President Radev said.
