Bulgaria’s Employment Agency reported a stable labour market in September, with the registered unemployment rate standing at 5.06%, down from 5.2% in August.
Around 17,000 people found jobs through labour offices during the month, nearly 3,000 of whom were placed in subsidised positions, mainly among the long-term unemployed, people with disabilities, and young people without experience.
Roma and youth mediators encouraged about 4,800 people to take initial steps towards employment.
The number of job vacancies remained unchanged from August at 9,500, with the highest demand in education (29%) and manufacturing (around 22%).
