A charity event featuring a dance party and a screening of the documentary “The Magic of Bulgarian Horo”, directed by journalist Milena Milotinova, will take place on 7 December at 4 PM local time. The Munich-based Folklore Dance Club Munchensko Horce is organising the event, BTA reports, citing the group’s founder and director, Georgi Stoyanov.

‘Christmas is magical, which is why our event begins with The Magic of Bulgarian Horo — a film by Milena Milotinova about our roots, traditions and the emotions of Bulgarian folk dances.’ It was filmed at this year's 'Na Megdana na Drugata Bulgaria' festival in Lyon, France, which brought together a record 100 groups from abroad. We are honoured to host the first screening of the film in Germany, with Ms Milotinova presenting it in person,” said Stoyanov in an invitation.

The programme will continue with a concert featuring dancers from Münchensko Horce, the Bulgarian dance group SamoDivi from Nuremberg, the Lisichka song and dance ensemble in Munich, the Zharava folklore dance club in Augsburg, the Bulgarian Rose folk choir in Munich and the youngest dancers from the Dora Gabe Bulgarian school in Munich.
