The municipality of Banite in the Rhodope Mountains welcomes its many guests with a festive winter program combining nature, traditions, and Christmas spirit. Until the end of December, villages and small mountain towns in the area will come alive with diverse events - from Christmas markets featuring local crafts and Rhodope specialties to concerts, theater performances, and film screenings for all ages.
On December 20 and 21, 2025, special screenings from the Banite Film Fest, a magic show, and a charity school market will take place. Sports enthusiasts will also celebrate 20 years of field hockey in the region, turning the two days into a true festive mosaic.

Throughout the month, visitors can join craft workshops for handmade souvenirs, taste traditional sweets and syrup-soaked desserts prepared from old recipes, and immerse themselves in the magic of the mountain winter among the snow-covered Rhodope peaks.
On December 27, local culinary expert Mariana Emilova will prepare traditional Rhodope kachamak live for all guests.
