On January 17, for the third year in a row, the hospitable Rhodope town of Batak is hosting the "Festival of Batak Sujuk and Appetizers". The event combines tastings with a cultural program – local folklore singers will perform on stage and guests will be able to watch demonstrations of traditional techniques for preparing Rhodope specialties.
