Bulgaria ends 2025 with a 3.1% budget deficit

Bulgaria ended 2025 with a 3.1% budget deficit on a cash basis, the Ministry of Finance said. The institution notes that revenues increased by 19.5%. The nominal government debt amounts to 61.4 billion leva, and the debt-to-GDP ratio at the end of December 2025 was 27.8%. The fiscal reserve stands at almost 17.5 billion leva.
