Bulgarian Embassy to host Baba Marta festival in Tokyo

On 1 March 2026, Bulgarians and friends of Bulgaria in Tokyo will once again celebrate the traditional Bulgarian Baba Marta Day.

The Bulgarian Embassy in Japan announced the event on Facebook, saying that for the fourth consecutive year it will organise a celebration of the national tradition and the arrival of spring through the Martenitsa Festival. The event will take place at Miyashita Park in the Shibuya district.

“A celebration dedicated to Bulgarian traditions, spring, and the friendship between Bulgaria and Japan awaits you,” the Embassy said.
