A Barcelona-held gala evening put an end to the events, marking the 100th anniversary of the International Association of Athletics Federations. A Hall of Fame was established for a first time in the history of athletics. Bulgarian Stefka Kostadinova is among the first 24 sports persons with undisputable contribution to the development of this sport, along with people like Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, Jesse Owens, Sergey Bubka and others. Stefka Kostadinova has been No1 in the high jump discipline for over 25 years with her 209 cm. She holds 7 world and 5 European titles.
