The 20th anniversary since the foundation of the SOS children’s village in the town of Tryavna was marked with the presence of many friends and partners of the village which is the first one of its kind in Bulgaria. President Rossen Plevneliev also attended the jubilee of the children’s village. In his address to the hosts and the guests of the village Rossen Plevneliev thanked all who gave their love to the needy. Later, President Plevneliev greeted the Bulgarians on occasion of the Independence Day marked on September 22, saying that when the Bulgarian people unite around a certain cause, the results are of historical importance. “The strong civil energy and the protests in February and June, which show the wish of the people to see reforms, unification, national cause and institutions which work in favor of the citizens, is what we can be all proud with”, the Bulgarian head of state said in conclusion.
