Legendary Spanish tenor Placido Domingo gave his first concert in Bulgaria in Sofia’s hall Arena Armeec. One of the Three Tenors was on stage to the accompaniment of the Sofia Philharmonic with guest conductor Jordi Bernacer, soprano Micaela Oeste, as well as Virginia Tola , who is a student of the eminent Bulgarian opera singer Raina Kabaivanska. After performing some of the most iconic arias in his career, Placido Domingo caused a furor singing in Bulgarian the emblematic song "My country, my Bulgaria".
