World companies from several countries show interest in the project of Bulgaria’s cabinet for building a gas distribution center near the city of Varna on the Black Sea. They have already conducted talks for potential participation with Deputy Premier for Economic Issues Tomislav Donchev, the latter informed. The next step is for the state, together with the European Commission to define several economic variants for the realization of the Balkan gas hub with the sources and supply routes to Europe. Another decision to be made is what portion of the project will be financed through public means and what – from private sources. However, intentions remain to launch in May an investors’ conference, expecting top players from the energy sector to join in, Minister Donchev points out.
