You are with RB again and our listeners’ feedback programme with its last edition for 2012.

This year has been a turning point in the history of RB as we stopped broadcasting on shortwave, which brought a radical change into the manner of transmitting our programs and into your listening habits. A tough unjust reality, or a justifiable move embracing the technological advancement of modern day – there are the pros and cons, and we are those who are seeing the pluses and minuses of both ways of transmission, and although many of us here were reluctant to see this happen and are still quite nostalgic for the radio ether we had, this is a reality we have to embrace now and try and find a proper place inside it.

We hope this transformation has already started to feel better for you and after almost a year, or more precisely 11 months of listening to RB online, this feels good and the benefits compensate the downside.

And looking into the future – what’s in store for us in 2013 – these are the days when we love to make good wishes, to greet family and friends and devote time to reflection and of course, it is a period of busy resolution making. New Year’s resolutions are a different type, laden with more significance and weight.

In this show, we have collected some inspirational quotes and aphorisms of famous people, or as T. S. Eliot put it: “For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning”.
