In today’s show it’s finally time to announce the names of the winners in RB’s last quiz for 2012, and here is the question: Which is the Bulgarian athlete who has set one of the oldest records in world athletics, a record that remains unbroken for 25 years now?

Her world record is one of the oldest in modern athletics. Kostadinova was voted Sportsperson of the Year in Bulgaria four times (1985, 1987, 1995 and 1996).
She is the current president of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee.
The Olympic Museum in Lausanne has statue of Stefka Kostadinova, making every Bulgarian proud of the sporting achievement of their nation. Through her inspirational athletic performance as well as her management skills, Kostadinova has significantly developed the participation of women and girls in athletics, not only in Bulgaria, but also in the whole world.
A huge thank you to all of you who took the time to do research and write to us with guesses.
And of course it’s time to say the new question that will be running over the next two months.
