The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has reported it was partially lifting a call to stop returning asylum seekers to Bulgaria, as conditions for refugees in the country had improved. Under current rules, European countries must return asylum seekers to the first European country they arrive to. Last year a total of 7144 people arrived to the country calling for asylum.
