This country could not build good international reputation and be a reliable partner in the EU and NATO just by taking into account its own interests and the different cultural and historical characteristics of various regions and countries. This was what Vice President Margarita Popova told participants in a conference dedicated to the topic of "Migration and Asylum – National and European Perspectives. “Europe should be on par with values that have been created for centuries and are the foundation of European civilization. Today our focus must be the values of humanism and security," Ms. Popova said. Participants in the forum agreed on the idea that solving security issues at national level also led to strengthening of collective security.
