A new Agency for Economic Growth of the Ministry of the Economy is to be set up, writes Sega newspaper. It will comprise the InvestBulgaria Agency and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency. The Economic Growth Agency will maintain regular contact with potential investors, promote the country as a good place for doing business and award certificates to major investors.
Hotels will be incorporated in an information system with the tax administration and the Interior Ministry, Standart writes, referring to amendments to the Tourism Act now up for public discussion. The tourist information system will make the sector more transparent and lead to better revenue collectability in the sphere of tourism. Hotel operators are liable to fines of up to 7,000 Leva for non-disclosure of the number of guests they have, the paper adds.
