Bulgarian GDP has been growing, unemployment falls

In the first quarter of 2016 the GDP of Bulgaria marked a 2.9-percent growth compared to the same period in 2015, while consumption registered a growth of 2.4 percent. Unemployment rate has been decreasing and according to the Employment Agency it was 9.9 percent in March, which is 1.1 percent lower than the level from same period last year. Bulgaria is third in the EU when it comes to lowest government debt, it was reported. Revenues and grants under the consolidated budget at the end of March reached some 5.09 billion euro and marked a growth of 664.29 thousand, or 16.7 percent compared to the first quarter of 2015. The fiscal reserve of this country totals 6.07 billion euro as surplus is 950.51 thousand euros. The data were presented by Bulgarian Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov at today's cabinet meeting.
