The sum total of profits in the Bulgarian banking system stood at 386.5 million euro at the end of June, figures from the Bulgarian National Bank suggest. This accounts for a 115 million euro rise compared to the first six years of last year. Liquidity in the banking system continues to increase and at the end of June liquidity assets showed a coefficient of 36.64 percent which is much higher than the required level. Bank deposits of households and enterprises continue to grow, though interest rates have been falling.
