Bulgaria EU presidency’s cost: 75m euro

Bulgaria’s EU Presidency in 2018 is going to cost roughly 75m euro, the director of the center for the preparation of the presidency Lubomir Ivanov has said. The team for the presidency will be 1200-strong, he has added. Remuneration paid to team members will be within the framework of existing wages without any pay rise. Training of staff for servicing the Presidency will begin in September and will close in mid-2017.
