The European gas hub Balkan will unite Bulgaria’s current and future projects and partners, Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier for EU Funds and Economic Policies Tomislav Donchev said during the round table in Varna dedicated to the Balkan gas hub. Over the past 7-8 months Bulgaria has been working very intensely with the team of the European Commission, especially with Mr Borchardt’s team, on the development of the main conception of that energy project, Deputy Premier Donchev further pointed out. We investigated all technical parameters of the project and identified all potential gas sources for Southeast Europe. We have developed all possible routes for transit and delivery of gas. We studied the regulatory and legal framework and outlined all necessary steps towards the fulfillment of that project. In Tomislav Donchev’s view, the round table is of great importance to the project, because it would set the beginning of a completely new stage of its fulfillment. The gas hub does not exclude any of the existing projects, or the ones which have already been planned, Deputy Premeir Donchev further said.
