President Plevneliev meets with Bulgarians in U.S.

Bulgarian President Rossen Plevneliev is in New York to participate in the 71st regular session of the UN General Assembly. At a meeting with representatives of the Bulgarian community in the city, the president urged his countrymen to use their right for voting during the presidential elections in November. Speaking about the "race of Bulgaria for the highest post in the world," President Plevneliev said that in the face of Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, Bulgaria had a worthy candidate who had support in this most difficult race. The visit of the Bulgarian President to the U.S. will continue until September 23. In the framework of his participation in the session of the UN, Plevneliev will hold bilateral talks with a number of counterparts.
