Bulgaria should give priority to the gas interconnectors with Greece and Romania, Energy Union Projects and Regional Policy spokesman at the European Commission, Jakub Adamowicz, said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio. Adamowicz said this in response to a question about the opinion of the EC on the planned “Balkan” gas hub in Bulgaria. We would support any project that meets European requirements, the basic principles of the Energy Union and especially the recently adopted energy strategy. In terms of interconnectors in the region, the Commission considers that priority should be given to already planned projects, such as interconnectors between Bulgaria and Greece, Bulgaria and Romania, as well as projects of common interest, Mr. Adamowicz added.
