Has oil been discovered in "Khan Asparuh" Block in Black Sea?

French oil company "Total" have discovered oil deposits in the Khan Asparuh Block in the Black Sea, the company has announced in its quarterly report. The information was confirmed by Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev. The Ministry of Energy told bTV that the state has not been informed according to the official order about oil discoveries, so far.

In April this year drill ship "Globetrotter 2" began exploratory drilling in the Black Sea. The contract for the Khan Asparuh Block was signed in August 2012. The block is located 80 km away from the Bulgarian shore, as depth is between 100 and 2000 meters.
