Good always comes bringing hope just like in fairytales – that is the message of the charity exhibition contest with a Christmas theme which one can see at the BNR’s Marble Lobby. The exhibition has been named Winter Tale and is a part of the Caricature Lobby 2013 Autumn Salon that discovers young talents. The overall idea is fundraising for the support of children, hurt in road accidents. BNR Director General Alexander Velev, Ombudsman Maya Manolova, Chair of the Bulgarian Red Cross Hristo Grigorov, the Union of Bulgarian Artists – Cartoonists and the party of Good Humor in Bulgaria are all united by the cause. The money is collected via the sale of Christmas cards with works of the artists and also with a common picture where the official guests have recreated their winter fairytale. “We support the cause due to the sad statistics which shows that 32 kids have been killed in road accidents since the start of the year,” the BNR’s director general pointed out. “Family comes first when we are talking about the education of our children,” the ombudsman said in her greeting speech.
