The match of Bulgarian heavyweight boxer Kubrat Pulev vs. former world champion Samuel Peter of Nigeria due tonight at Armeets Arena in Sofia is looking more like a friendly than a professional boxing battle. The two boxers have shown no fury, but the stakes are high, as they will contend the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental Heavyweight title . Kubrat Pulev’s target is to get a win over a notable name from the past to keep in the hunt for a heavyweight title shot. “I’ve got enough strength and experience on both the amateur and professional boxing rings. I expect support from the audience and I hope that this will give me an advantage. I have been trained in a way tailored to this particular rival and this is half of the victory”, Kubrat Pulev has said.
