29 people were injured in Saturday’s cargo train explosion in the village of Hitrino, Bulgaria’s outgoing Minister of Health Petre Moscov announced. Sixteen of them were hospitalized. Nine were transported to the nearby hospital in Shumen and the others have been taken to hospitals in the coastal city of Varna, Minister Moscov announced at an emergency briefing. Three of the patients are in critical condition. There is no shortage of blood at the hospitals, Petre Moscov said and thanked the citizens who donated blood, following the calls of Premier Borissov and the local authorities. Rescuers are still looking for people in the area of the blast. So far 12 people have been rescued in today’s operations.
