National Assembly to be dissolved on January 27, Ognyan Gerdjikov becomes caretaker PM

President Rumen Radev has signed a decree for dissolving the 43rd National Assembly on January 27. Early parliamentary elections will be held on March 26. Another decree by the President appointed former head of the parliament prof. Ognyan Gerdjikov for a caretaker prime minister. In the afternoon yesterday politicians and experts arrived in the presidency. It is expected that they would be part of the caretaker government. Ministers are expected to be announced today.
